This Privacy Policy describes how Hasanaga Mammadov ("we") handles information in the Анекдоты mobile app (a collection of Russian jokes that works offline).
Summary
- There is no registration and no user account. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number.
- The joke collection, your favorites and your settings are stored only on your device.
- The app is free and supported by ads. Our advertising partners may collect device identifiers and usage data to show and measure ads.
Data stored on your device
The following stays on your device and is not sent to us:
- favorite jokes and the list of jokes you have already seen (so the app does not repeat them),
- app settings such as font size, theme and notification times,
- the "Joke of the day" shown in the home-screen widget (shared with the widget through the device's app group storage).
Deleting the app removes this data.
Data collected by third parties
Advertising
The app shows ads from these networks. The ad network that serves an ad is chosen by a remote setting.
- Google AdMob (Google LLC). It may collect advertising identifiers (Android Advertising ID / IDFA), device and app information, IP address (from which approximate location can be derived), and ad interaction data (views, clicks) to show, personalize and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses information from apps that use its services
- Yandex Mobile Ads (Yandex). It may collect similar device identifiers, device information, IP address and ad interaction data for the same purposes. Yandex privacy policy: yandex.com/legal/confidential
App configuration
- Firebase Remote Config (Google LLC) is used to receive app settings, such as which ad network to use. It uses a Firebase installation identifier and basic device information. Firebase privacy and security
We do not sell personal data, and we do not receive the identifiers these providers collect.
Your choices
- Consent (EEA, UK and other regions where it is required): the app shows a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice later [confirm: where in the app the consent form can be reopened, if it can].
- iOS: the app asks for permission to track through App Tracking Transparency. If you decline, the IDFA is not shared, and you will still see ads, but they will be less personalized. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Permissions
- Notifications: used only if you turn on daily jokes. They are scheduled on your device, one to three times a day at the times you choose. You can turn them off in the app or in system settings.
- Tracking (iOS, App Tracking Transparency): asked for so that ads can be personalized, as described above. Declining does not limit any feature.
The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or photo access.
Sharing jokes
When you share a joke, the app opens your device's standard share sheet. The text goes only to the app you choose, and we do not see it.
Data retention and deletion
We do not keep any personal data on our own servers. Data stored on your device is removed when you delete the app. Data collected by the advertising and configuration providers is kept according to their own policies, linked above. [confirm: any additional retention statement you want to make]
There are no accounts in Анекдоты. For more on removing your data, see Account and data deletion.
Children
Анекдоты is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required by your local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
